Declaring a disability, impairment or long-term conditions

This article demonstrates how to declare to IAP if you consider yourself to have a disability, impairment or long-term condition under your VET details and also explains why you might need to do this.

Updated 1 week ago

Before you declare, you might be wondering why you would choose to declare if you consider yourself to have a disability, impairment or long-term condition.

One reason would be that in the terms and conditions of enrolment it states "Due to the personal nature of the course, you are required to disclose to IAP if you have ever been diagnosed with a mental illness or other condition (previous or current), at the point of enrolment which may affect your ability to participate in the course." Another equally important reason would be that it enables IAP to better support you in your studies with us. Once you have declared you can expect to be contacted by our RTO Manager.

Please note below are steps on how to declare, however if you have not already added your emergency contact details the system will prompt you to action this FIRST before it will allow you to Declare.
